Produce & Perishable Goods

USDA/APHIS phytosanitary clearance with zero tolerance for delays.

Fresh produce has a shelf life measured in days. Every hour a shipment sits at the port costs money—and freshness. That's why perishable imports demand a customs broker who understands the urgency and the regulatory complexity simultaneously. We treat every perishable entry as a same-day priority.

APHIS & Phytosanitary Compliance

The USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) regulates all imported fruits, vegetables, and plant products. Each commodity has specific entry requirements based on country of origin, including phytosanitary certificates, treatment requirements (cold treatment, fumigation, irradiation), and seasonal restrictions. We maintain current knowledge of APHIS permit requirements for every origin-commodity combination.

FDA Prior Notice & FSVP

All food imports, including produce, require FDA Prior Notice before arrival. As a broker specializing in perishables, we ensure Prior Notice submissions are filed accurately and on time. We also guide our importers through their Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) obligations under FSMA.

Speed Is Everything

We pre-clear produce shipments whenever possible, coordinating with USDA inspectors in advance to minimize dwell time. For air cargo produce, we routinely achieve same-day release. For ocean containers, we file entries days before vessel arrival so your cargo moves directly from the port to your cold storage.
